Manchester City Regarding A Deal For Emmanuel Adebayor A Target For Tottenham As Redknapp Looks To Bring In A New Striker

Harry Redknapp has confirmed Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Manchester City regarding a deal for Emmanuel Adebayor and the former Arsenal striker is a surplus to requirements at City after spending the 2nd half of last season on loan at Real Madrid in a 27-year-old had previously been keen on a return to the Santiago Bernabeu and could now be offered the chance to join in his old club's arch rivals.

Spurs boss Redknapp revealed last month that he would be interested in a signing the Togo forward but stressed it would only be a loan deal for the negotiations with City have reportedly been ongoing for some time and with Adebayor's reported £170,000 a week wage packet proving to the only real stumbling block.
