Scottish Premier League


The Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers have both been drawn against Scottish Premier League opposition in the 5th round of the Scottish Cup in holders the Hoops will go up against the winners of the 4th round replay between SPL newcomers Dunfermline Athletic and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, who were dumped out by Celtic at the quarter-final stage last season.

Rangers, who crashed out In the round's other all-SPL tie, Hearts go up against fellow league high-fliers St Johnstone in Hibernian will take on the winner of the replay between 1st division Dundee and Kilmarnock at the 5th round last year and they face a tough home tie against Dundee United.

A draw has been kind to last year's runners-up Motherwell, who will face Greenock Morton, Aberdeen have also drawn lower league opposition in Queen of the South and the remaining ties will see Ross County take on the victor of the replay between Hamilton Academical and St Mirren, Ayr United go up against Falkirk.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle/Dunfermline v Celtic

Scottish Cup in £3m sponsor deal with Scottish Football Association agreed a "seven-figure deal" with William Hill.

William Hill UK,s No.1 bookmaker, has signed a seven figure deal with the Scottish FA to become the title sponsor of the Scottish Cup is a 3 year partnership means the famous cup competition will be renamed the William Hill Scottish Cup.

William Hill operates over 300 betting shops in Scotland and total of 2364 across the UK and Ireland is already the official betting partner of a Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Cup sponsorship deal reaffirms their strong association with Scottish football.

The deal should net the SFA about £1m per year and is the 1st time the Scottish Cup has had a commercial sponsor and Tennents Lager ended its 8 year association with the competition in 2007 and the cup has either been subsidised by a SFA itself or the Scottish Government through its Homecoming Scotland and the Active Nation branding.

William Hill Scottish Cup 1st round draw will take place in Glasgow's Buchanan Galleries Shopping Centre on Monday, August 29, at 10am and the draw will be conducted by last year's victorious captain, Celtic's Scott Brown, the Scottish FA President, Campbell Ogilvie, and Kristof Fahy, William Hill’s Group Brand and Marketing Director.
