Manchester United hope to bounce back from the dissatisfaction of Wayne Rooney's quit danger by snapping up £25 million rated Ajax striker Luis Suarez, according to talkSPORT.

Suarez, 23, has emerged as a highly coveted star across Europe after they helped himself to 49 goals in 48 appearance last term. His reputation as a marksman was improved at World Cup 2010 in Uruguay's march to the semi-final stage.

Ajax resists all efforts to prise the star from the Amsterdam Arena in the summer. Fresh financial concerns and Suarez's want to head for Old Trafford could see him replace Rooney.

Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra has solid rumours that he needs to leave the Bernabeu but insists that he wants to play additional than he has so far this campaign.

Present have been recent reports suggesting that the Frenchman wants to go away the Spanish giants in search of more playing time, with Manchester United, Aston Villa and Liverpool allegedly in the hunt for the 25-year-old.

Steven Gerrard Insists Liverpool Are Not In Crisis

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has denied that his team is in crisis on the pitch.

While the club is locked in a fight off the pitch in the High Court, the Reds find themselves in the underneath three of the Premier League.

And with a trip to Goodison Park for the Merseyside derby this Sunday - with Everton only one place above them in the table - the friendship needs a positive result.

It has been a hugely unacceptable season so far for the club, who has only won once in the league all season and was knock out of the League Cup by League Two side Northampton Town.

Manchester City Defender Micah Richards Declares Himself Fit For Trip To Blackpool

Manchester City protector Micah Richards has declared himself fit for his side's Premier League clash with Blackpool on Sunday.

Richards, who had been opposite a spell on the sideline due to a hamstring problem, now looks set to go back to contention for City.

The 22-year-old, though, may not feature straight away as he faces stiff opposition from summer signing Jerome Boateng, Pablo Zabaleta and youth vision Dedryck Boyata.

Speaking to the club's official website, Manchester City protectorRichards remain upbeat concerning the side's trip to the seaside but confess that he had never knowledgeable the Blackpool illuminations.
