Milan Were Close To Signing Xavi A Few Years Ago - Adriano Galliani

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has exposed that the Serie A club were one time on the verge of signing Barcelona star Xavi.

The 30-year-old recently was the designer of the Blaugrana's 5-0 el Clasico conquest over Real Madrid and was also a key associate of Spain's 2010 World Cup winning group.

"A few years ago we were a millimeter absent from signing Xavi, a player I always liked very much," he said throughout a press meeting.

"We had spoken to his father. We were extremely close but then he determined to make bigger his stay at Barcelona.
