Torino has told Arsenal they can have Italy under-21 international protector Angelo Ogbonna for £6.5 million in January, according to La Stampa.
Ogbonna, 22, is a highly charged player in Serie B and is at ease across the back line. This adaptability had attracted Everton who are unspoken to have failed with a £5m bid in June.
The Gunners mean to land the player in January and are supposed to be happy to improve their Premier League rivals' bid.
Though they additional new centre-backs Laurent Koscielny and Sebastien Squillaci in the summer, manager Arsene Wenger wants to land the influential plug to bolster his ranks after the losses of Sol Campbell, William Gallas and Mikael Silvestre.
